These folks are quite amazing. They handled a wrongful death case for my siblings and I. It was a long and painful process trying to unearth all of the memories, information and emotions over a 5 year case. I know we weren't the easiest clients to work with. Most of my siblings hadn't met one another, including myself. It's was 25 plus years of not knowing these folks then coming together over a loss. The Ammons Law Firm had the daunting task of getting us to answer questions and attain information sensitive to the case. It wasn't easy. Most of us in the bunch are very stubborn and weren't quite sure as to why all of the materials were needed. I'm sure it was akin to pulling teeth. But they stuck with us! Which I commend them for.All the years of, what seemed to be endless e-mails and zoom meetings and questions from both teams, became worth it in the end when we eventually came for the trial. Sure, lots of it wasn't used but I see why they needed it. Proof! An answer for everything. What they did in court was truly impressive! These fine men and women, for lack of a better phrase, threw down in court! The only real issue I had with the whole process, and maybe it isn't even an issue and we can chalk it up to our not knowing of how things work. I'm referring to winnings, if you will. No percentages or numbers will be listed as that is not allowed, obviously. But I'll speak for myself when I say we wound up with less that we anticipated considering the percentage. And maybe it was communicated to us. But if all of us were confused, then something was amiss. They did send an itemized list of all the charges. Some of these charges I did feel were more personal than work related. I do know you can write all these things down as a work related expense. But, again, I personally would have left some of those off. They hit us for, well, everything. Now I know they can't tell us every little detail they have to spend their money on. However, I do wish there was some communication prior for approval of certain expenses and just how much it would be. It was rather unfortunate for us to assume the number we were getting post percentage and it was substantially smaller. Again, I want to reiterate. I don't think they did anything wrong. But had we known that all of this would come back to us and the initial percentage they charge wasn't covering most of it, we would have done things differently. Travel, hotel, experts, meals. Things of that nature. I am truly appreciative of all of it. We were just naive and thought all of these were tax write offs. But now I know how to do things for my own career field 😅🤣.I realize that last part was long-winded, but I just had to explain fully. All of that said, we couldn't have asked for better lawyers. They were attentive, professional and knew their stuff. Put on quite the showcase in the court room. They have a kind and friendly staff. They put in years of work and as did we. They were committed to the cause and if you had to ask for lawyers who are going to do what is needed to get the win for you, look no further than the folks at The Ammons Law Firm.
