"I am incredibly grateful for the services that Bibiyan Law Group provided helping me with a difficult experience. My gratitude on the transparency and efforts that they provided with my doubts and concerns of my legal rights as an employee and the final solutions were satisfied. I can now set this experience behind me, learn from it and possibly share with others that are going through uncomfortable struggles and uncertainty with their work environments that they may have questions and can find clarity and solutions to."

"I served as the class representative in a case handled by this firm, and my experience with communication and transparency throughout the process was extremely disappointing.nnAt the beginning of the case, communication was very strong. I was reassured that the firm had my back and that my interests would be protected as the class representative. Based on those conversations and the paperwork presented to me, I trusted the firm and agreed to move forward.nnHowever, as the case progressed, communication dropped off significantly. I often had to search for information about my own case by looking up court records myself because updates were not consistently provided to me. Important developments, including court dates and case progress, were not clearly communicated, which left me feeling confused about what was happening.nnThere were multiple times where I reached out simply trying to understand the status of the case. Even after the settlement was being finalized, I still struggled to get clear answers or updates. As the class representative, I expected to be kept informed about major decisions and developments.nnAnother issue that was very difficult for me was learning about a significant change to the representative award only after the check arrived. I had previously been told the award would be $10,000, but the amount was reduced by the judge to $5,000. Despite speaking with the firm and the settlement administrator multiple times, this change was never clearly explained to me ahead of time.nnThroughout the process I often felt like I had to advocate for myself just to obtain basic information about my own case. Serving as the class representative should involve transparency and clear communication, and unfortunately that was not my experience.nnI am sharing this review so that future clients understand the importance of asking for clear timelines, regular updates, and written explanations throughout the legal process."

"David is an excellent attorney. He truly fought for my rights and stayed committed throughout the entire process. My case took about two years because the defendants refused to pay, but thanks to David’s persistence, we won in the end. Highly recommend!!!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Employment Law legal services in Los Angeles, CA.

Employment attorneys in Los Angeles commonly handle cases involving wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, unpaid wages, and meal and rest break violations. California law provides broad protections for employees, often going further than federal law, so consulting with a local attorney can help you understand the full scope of your rights.
California is an at-will employment state, meaning employers can generally terminate employees for any lawful reason, but terminations that violate public policy, anti-discrimination laws, or an employment contract may be considered wrongful. If you were fired after reporting misconduct, requesting protected leave, or because of your race, gender, age, disability, or other protected characteristic, you may have a valid claim worth discussing with an attorney.
California has strict wage and hour laws that require most employees to receive overtime pay for hours worked beyond eight in a day or forty in a week, which is more protective than federal standards. Employers are also required to provide meal and rest breaks, and failure to do so can entitle employees to additional compensation. If you believe you have been underpaid or denied proper breaks, an employment attorney can evaluate your situation.
Deadlines for employment claims in California vary depending on the type of claim and the agency or court where it is filed. For many discrimination and harassment claims, you may need to file a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department or the EEOC within a specific window of time before pursuing a lawsuit. Because these deadlines can be strict, it is important to consult with an employment attorney as soon as possible after an incident occurs.
Many employment attorneys in Los Angeles handle cases on a contingency fee basis, meaning you typically do not pay attorney's fees unless your case results in a recovery. This arrangement makes legal representation accessible to workers who may not have the financial resources to pay hourly legal fees. It is always a good idea to discuss fee structures and expectations during your initial consultation with any law firm.
